About Brickton Art Center

Prior to 1873, the community of Park Ridge, Illinois was named Brickton, where a large brick making facility stood just north of the uptown shopping area. The name Brickton gives a historical perspective as we look toward the future. The Art Center operates with an Executive Director and a Board of Directors. Many volunteer opportunities are available for interested persons. Brickton Art is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by IRS guidelines.

Brickton Art Center draws operating funds through memberships, class revenue, donations, grants, and fundraising. With your help Brickton Art Center will continue to provide:

• Free professional art exhibitions and opening night receptions.
• High-quality art classes for children, teens and adults.
• Free art activities at community events.
• Youth art exhibits in our professional gallery space.
• Art outreach programming for community organizations such as: Lutheran General Pediatric Unit, Avenues to Independence, Have Dreams, Mainstay Youth & Family Services, St. Matthew Center for Health and more!

Through our various fine art programs, Brickton Art Center annually serves over 6,000 patrons ages 2 years through adults, including art professionals, students, appreciators, and civic groups. All programs and gallery exhibitions are open to the general public. Brickton is currently the only art center providing a variety of fine art opportunities to residents of Park Ridge and the greater Northwest Chicago Region.
